David wants all of his customers to know that you can get a true "Custom Kitchen" in your budget.

Everyone likes to hear the stories about David's famous or wealthy clients, when the truth is that most of the kitchens he designs and builds are for people just like "us".

Right now is the best time David has ever seen in his industry, as the Custom Cabinet Manufactures have reduced their pricing to levels he hasn't seen since the "1990's".

President's Message

From Brad Hooper

Good Afternoon Execs, I would like to take a few moments to talk to you about the Association.

First and foremost thank you for the flowers and cards that were sent to my father this past week.  They were very much appreciated, my father is doing better this week.  So, thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers these past several weeks.

Also, I'd like to take this time to apologize for the disruption that my family situation has caused with my duties as President of the EALB.  It has been difficult to get to everything and I realize that I’ve been MIA recently.  Rest assured that I am aware of a couple of hiccups we’ve had over the past month and that the board has dealt with much of it at our last meeting.

I'd like to address a few things regarding our Association.

First, we are the oldest group of its kind in town, we have a rich and vibrant history.  When I’ve researched other so-called networking groups in the area, they don’t hold a candle to the membership represented here.  While many groups are diminishing in size, most with less than 30 members, our association continues to grow.

There are some things that I’ve been asked to remind our association of.  The main thrust of the comments revolve around the fact that we can’t afford to lose focus on what it is that has made this association so successful and that is – quality leads brought to fellow members regularly.  Most of us in here can’t afford for this group to become just a lunch meeting.  I’m asking everyone here to consider how much value their membership is to the rest of the group.  Membership in the execs is a balancing act of generating leads and receiving leads.  I think we must all ask ourselves about the quantity and quality of the leads we are giving prior to complaining about the leads we may not be receiving.

I must also address how we run our meetings here.  We have an agenda that needs to be stuck to in order to maintain our professionalism and to get everyone out on time.

Some of the areas that need mentioning:

1.      Attendance - Being at the meetings assures that you are present with your fellow Members and give and receive leads.

2.      Prompt Arrival - In order to receive credit for attendance at a meeting, our Bylaws state that you must be present by 12:30 p.m. which is the offically start time of the meeting and to remain present until after the speaker has completed their presentation.

3.     With number 2 being stated, we do hope that you will wait to leave the meeting after the lead session.

4.      Measuring what you say – make sure any comments made are uplifting and positive.

5.      Do not speak out of turn.  It is never appropriate to give an impromptu state of the union address etc…  If you have a topic that you feel the group needs to deal with, please speak to me, or a fellow board member or our Executive Director.  You may want to come before the board to discuss the issue.  The board meeting is the time and the place for such things.

6.      Please remember that your board is a volunteer position.

Thank you for your time.  I look forward to your feedback.
